Pilgrimage to the place of the wise is to find escape from the flame of separateness.

My computer crashed on the weekend. My beloved and I were away -- a romantic retreat at Emerald Lake Lodge, and while I had internet access, I could not get my computer to start up -- and it was too late on Sunday when I realized there was a computer upstairs in the lounge area!

I'm off to revel in the glow of spirits lighting up with purpose today in G2. May your day be filled with light.

There are two mistakes one can make along the road to truth - not going all the way, and not starting.

I have been away taking a course at The Haven on Gabriola Island.
Before I left, a friend asked me, "Why do you want to keep digging into yourself, Louise? Can't you just be happy with where you're at and who you are?"

One of my father's favourite quotes when I was a little girl was, "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink."
Awhile ago, thinking about a situation with someone I love and my hesitation to intervene when I knew what they were engaging in was hurting them, that quote came to mind.

“You are so weak. Give up to grace.
The ocean takes care of each wave
till it gets to shore.”

Once upon a time... I fell in love with a man and was victimized by his abuse masquerading as love. I was a victim -- a label I did not like, did not want to carry and had great difficulty accepting -- I was a victim.

Anyone who doesn't believe in miracles is not a realist.

I'm taking a bit of a different approach to the blog today by sharing what I posted on my personal blog, A Year of Making a Difference. At 'A Year' I post everyday on something, someone that makes a difference in my world. Sunday is guest blogger day and today, Shirley A. has shared a powerful story about making a difference, no matter what side of the street we're on.
"Thank you, I will continue to light the part of the world I am in. What a legacy that Choices is---one heart at a time because you knew what real love is."
